ACADEMIC TUTORING
During the last couple of years we learned that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. That’s why we have a staff of professional volunteers with vested interest in both our school system and our students. They are trained to customize their approach based on students’ learning preferences in order to keep them engaged, build confidence, and increase motivation.
CAREER TRAINING AND ADVICE
Our mission is to train participants for employment through short-term vocational programs which promote and allow students to expand their personal and professional knowledge to meet employer’s needs. We dedicate ourselves to providing our students with a quality educational experience which will lead to an enriching and profitable career.
COLLEGE PREPARATION
Some experts recommend starting as early as sixth grade. We have found that starting to think about and to prepare for college should ideally start during the summer before your high school freshman year, but getting help later can still be of benefit to you. Our programs have an annual curriculum of classes and workshops taught by both high school and college professionals.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
Our programs are developed for students and families while giving them a chance to learn important personal finance skills as they complete several courses within our prepared curriculum. Our program also provides additional resources and materials for teachers.
MONTHLY HOUSEHOLD LIVING ASSISTANCE
Our Monthly Household Living Assistance program program is designed to provide benefits and services to needy families to be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives.
FOOD AND CLOTHING ASSISTANCE
The grocery program serves all families regardless of employment status. Groceries may include canned meat, beans, vegetables, rice, milk, soup, tomato sauce and pasta.
Clothing items are provided as a service of our local clothing outlets. We receive several deliveries through the month and items are included based upon availability.
